The coffee is brewing. The wine is chilled to the perfect temperature. And The Desk is ready to inspire Denver’s mobile workforce to do their best work.

For those who want to know a little more about The Desk, its conception, design and technology, it all started about two years ago. Husband and wife team, Kristian and Mandy, were both at interesting places in their careers. Kristian, an architect, was put on a project spearheading his then firm’s knowledge-base of the “the third space.” The concept of working in a place other than your home or office became more and more of a topic of conversation for Kristian and Mandy because Mandy, an advertising creative director and copywriter, had just gone freelance. It was a challenge for Mandy to find a motivating and inspiring place to work–and the concept of The Desk was born.

Yet, Kristian and Mandy didn’t want The Desk to be just another coworking space. Most coworking spaces tend to feel just like the office everyone is trying to escape. It had to be different. More inspiring. More conducive to doing your best work. It had to have an aesthetic that felt significant. It had to have incredible coffee. It had to have wine so at the end of a really productive day, you could celebrate it with a beautiful blend. It had to have everything you wouldn’t expect, period.

So from all the must-haves, Kristian and Mandy spent countless hours pouring over the details and seeking out finds that are hard to come by like the country’s first Classe 9 Rancilio two group espresso machine. All the careful consideration and thought that has gone into The Desk is intended to inspire you to do whatever it is that you do best.
